Stabi XL
Stabi XL DC
The Stabi XL DC is the successor to the XL and XL 4 models. As a result of listening experiments and years of experience in turntable construction, the decision was made to abandon the use of two or more motors in favour of a single motor with increased torque. A non-stretchable material belt is used for propulsion, which transmits torque to the sub-platter significantly better. In terms of design, the Stabi XL DC refers back to earlier models. The motor, housed in a robust casing, and the arm column are separate components and are positioned next to the main structure. The column features precise VTA adjustment, which can be corrected “on the fly.” The base for the arm is interchangeable, giving us complete freedom to use different arm models. The control system uses a microprocessor-controlled AC power converter.
The Stabi XL DC is an example of a brilliantly executed concept for a turntable that defies conventional patterns.
