             Ultra Low Jitter-DA Converter—that’s how CEC describes this device. To ensure the best possible signal transmission, the company has abandoned “traditional” AES/EBU and SPDIF digital inputs in favor of the CEC Super Link connection. This is a proprietary solution that allows devices to communicate without the encoding used in AES/EBU and SPDIF, where the signal and data are transmitted over a single line, which degrades quality. The connection is made using four BNC cables. 

MCK – clock signal from the main converter to the CD transport

BCK – Bit Clock signal required to identify, for example, the sampling frequency or to read the signal from the CD transport LRCK – signal identification for L/R from the CD transport to the converter DATA – audio data from the CD transport to the converter

This connection is compatible with CEC TL0 3.0, TL1N, TL2N, and TL3N devices. It also features a D-SUB input, to which you can connect older CEC devices equipped with this output. You can use the adapter to connect to another device that does not have a CEC Superlink connector. This is achieved by using one of the inputs (BNC “BCK”) via a BNC/RCA adapter and enabling this operating mode. The device can work with an external clock, which will act as the master. The DAC itself is based on the Sabre Pro ESS Hyperstream ES9028PRO chip. All information regarding the device’s operating mode is shown on an easy-to-read display.
