10XA

DV – 10XA
High/Low output level. Aluminum bracket. Magnetic flux damping.
The 10X cartridge series debuted in 1978, winning the prestigious Design and Engineering Award at the CES trade show in Chicago. It repeated this success in 1981, thereby solidifying its position as the leader among budget MC cartridges. The 10XA version is the latest model in this line, equipped with unique and patented magnetic flux suppression systems. The neodymium magnet itself is powerful enough to provide the cartridge with an output signal of 2.8 mV. The output level is also influenced by a coil wound with wire of increasing diameter, ensuring that its internal impedance does not exceed 150 Ω in the high-level version and 32 Ω in the low-level version. The cartridge is equipped with an aluminum mounting block that ensures a very rigid connection to the tonearm head.
Now, in 2025, the 10X series reaches new heights of performance thanks to a newly developed magnetic circuit that incorporates Dynavector’s patented “Special Magnetic Annealing” technology. The new 10XA model delivers exceptionally smooth and clear music reproduction, offering a listening experience that goes far beyond what one would expect from an entry-level cartridge.
