DS 003
The DS 003 is the successor to the 002. It incorporates features from the flagship Grand Master model. The biggest changes are in the cartridge. The third-generation circuit further improves the signal-to-noise ratio, increases channel separation, and a different “diaphragm” design has reduced the moving mass by 50%, which has a noticeable effect on microdynamics. The new circuit effectively contains “two cartridges” in a single housing. The body and tonearm are made of aluminum, and the stylus features a Line Contact cut. The “preamplifier” design has been optimized for this project to ensure the best performance and quality. It uses ten capacitors, each with a capacitance of 33,000 µF, to achieve the best possible “stability.” Several changes have been made here as well. One of the most significant changes is the laminate used for the printed circuit boards. It is now thicker. The thickness of the “copper on the tracks” is twice as much. All components (cartridge, preamp) are assembled by hand, and each set is inspected and tested before leaving the factory.
