Acoustical Systems

Acustical Systems is a specialized family-owned company that collaborates with several firms specializing in metalworking and precision engineering. The chief engineer has nearly forty years of experience in the field of analog audio and sound reproduction. The company was founded in 1998 and initially focused on selecting NOS tubes. Since 2004, the company has been designing and building custom audio systems for the most discerning enthusiasts of faithful music reproduction. In 2009, the company introduced its first analog accessory: the Special Decoupled Platter (SDP). This is an additional platter designed to completely eliminate parasitic resonances. Owners of high-end turntables around the world have adopted this accessory. Since 2010, the company has focused on the design and production of advanced analog “devices.” In 2011, the UNI-Protractor and UNI-P2S were introduced—universal tools for turntable calibration. In 2012, the Arche headshell was introduced—one of the most advanced accessories of its kind on the market. In 2013, the company introduced the first tonearm in its lineup: the Axiom. This 12-inch tonearm, equipped with the Arche headshell, sets new standards.

The next products to be introduced were cartridges. In 2014, the company launched the Archon cartridge and the limited-edition Astron (18 units per year). A year later, the Aquilar tonearm and the Aiwon cartridge were unveiled. In May 2016, the Apolyt turntable was unveiled in Munich. A month later, the Palladian cartridge was launched. Acustical Systems focuses its activities on analog audio, seeking advanced solutions and offering some of the most sophisticated tools for turntable calibration. The UNI-DIN geometry, developed and used in their tools, is the intellectual property of Acustical Systems’ chief designer.
