Destiny
Destiny is an insole that replaces the sensational Madake at the top of the line.
Like all of Mr. Miyajima’s insoles, Destiny is based on
an original design. The support is made of bamboo. The Saboten, Saboten
L, and Madake insoles have slightly different support geometries, as shown in the diagram.
According to Noriyuki Miyajima, this solution provides an even
more direct transmission of the “needle’s” vibrations to the
coil assembly and even lower distortion, while the exceptional
“mechanical” properties of bamboo have made it possible to build a cartridge whose
sound is absolutely perfect. In the Destiny, the cartridge’s mass has been increased
because, as the designer noted, it is closely related to the way
sound is reproduced.Thanks to this approach, the “low and mid”
frequencies have gained body, while the “highs” are reproduced without unnecessary
resonance. The soundstage is rendered with precision, with
a realistic depiction of the width and depth of the musical scene.
