KARAT is the first cartridge designed using scattering theory, which has made it possible to significantly expand the frequency response in the high-frequency range. Equipped with a Micro-Ridge stylus with a cross-sectional area of 0.06 mm², mounted on a very short (1.7 mm long) diamond cantilever, it significantly reduces frequency dispersion and dynamic mismatch.The patented magnetic system consists of a coil with a cross-sectional area of 0.9 mm² and a thickness of 0.4 mm, comprising 70 turns per channel, wound with wire having a diameter of 11 microns. Thanks to this highly precise mechanical design, it has become possible to achieve a flat frequency response up to 30 kHz. The use of a very powerful neodymium magnet, combined with a patented magnetic flux damping system, eliminates sound coloration and contouring.
