Syrinx
SYRNIKS

Syrinx is a structure composed of two modules. The bass driver is located in the lower module on the front baffle, which is angled at 45°. The A.M.T transducer is positioned in the vertical module, mounted directly above the bass driver. This placement of the A.M.T speaker allows acoustic waves to radiate both in front of and behind it. In the Syrinx, the construction has been assembled to minimise the directional perception of sound generated by the speakers. The lowest frequencies are propagated omnidirectionally through the bass-reflex port, and the bass driver is angled at 45°, effectively preventing the reception of direct waves generated by it. Mid and high frequencies are reproduced by the A.M.T speaker, whose sound is intentionally devoid of the typical directionality associated with transducers in this frequency range. The use of a large enclosure for the low-midrange driver means that this column is designed to be placed on the floor. On the other hand, appropriate tuning allows for the installation of Syrinx speakers even in small rooms. The freedom to present musical details makes these speakers suitable for applications in systems aimed at the authenticity of the form of transmission.
