Fideles

The Fideles is a Moving Iron cartridge. The cartridge body is made of
Timet 1100 titanium alloy. Its high-performance generator, with an output level of
5.5 mV, allows for the use of a phono preamp with
gain as low as 35 dB. The sound offered by the Fideles is lively,
colorful, transparent, and pleasantly natural. In the cartridge
price range up to 1,000 euros, it sets a new standard for quality and can easily
compete with cartridges that cost twice as much.

The Fideles cartridge is also available in
the Subline version. As the manufacturer describes it, “it’s a different
beast than its siblings.” The differences lie in the design. It has a slightly lower
output level, but it’s still high enough that we can continue to use
MM preamps. This version features a boron cantilever and
Shibata EVO cut.

The housing is made of a titanium alloy. The final result
is comparable to MC cartridges in a price range significantly higher than that of the Fideles Subline.

For owners of collections of very
old records that have been worn down by time and other users,
the Purist insert has been designed.

The conical cut easily handles records in poor
condition. It’s much more forgiving than high-end MC
cartridges and offers many of the advantages of the iconic SPU without the need
for heavy tonearms or SUTs.
