Cobalt Blue
Cobalt
The Cobalt Blue cartridge features a Microline stylus with
a curvature of 80 μm that makes contact with the record groove. This
contact surface ensures excellent playback performance.
The Cobalt Blue was designed to naturally reproduce the sound
etched onto the record.
The bracket is constructed using sapphire in the form of a tube with a
diameter of 0.4 mm. Sapphire’s exceptional hardness helps reduce
distortion and also effectively transmits high-speed
vibrations, ensuring a cleaner sound.
The magnetic system combines a performance-proven
samarium-cobalt magnet with soft-iron electromagnetic material to
achieve magnetic properties that align with the coil’s vibrations. This ensures
overall balance and a stable sound. Rhodium-plated contacts were selected.
Super-duralumin
(A7075), known for its exceptional strength among aluminum alloys,
was chosen for the construction of the cartridge housing and base.
As a result, the insert gained overall structural rigidity
and avoided unnecessary resonance.
In addition to this exceptional durability, the Extra-Super Duraluminium body
has been further reinforced and handcrafted using the traditional
Japanese art of urushi lacquerwork. As a result, the cartridge
offers excellent durability, a balanced weight, and a beautiful appearance
in a cobalt blue color.
