The Preamp

THE PREAMP
The Preamp is a line preamplifier that builds upon The Tube, originally introduced in 1998. It features a fully balanced design with 18 tubes. Eight of these are output tubes. The PCC88 tube is used here, which is characterized by exceptionally linear response. The remaining 10 tubes are ECC88s, one for each input. Only the pair of tubes corresponding to the active input operates. The preamplifier’s internal circuitry is designed as two monaural amplifiers. This allows for significantly higher dynamic range and bandwidth.
