The XV-1T is an evolution of the XV-1s model, which until now had been the company’s flagship product. The XV-1T is a system designed to extract the maximum amount of information from a vinyl record. The combination of top-tier materials and precision craftsmanship results in a sound that is the very essence of musicality. The magnetic circuit consists of 8 ALNICO magnets divided into two sections. A special field corrector is used in the magnetic gap, and additional stabilizing coils are wound on the front yoke. Compared to conventional designs, this construction provides a more compact and linear magnetic flux. As a result, the sound features very deep and precise bass, detailed treble, and excellent channel separation. Distortion levels have also been reduced, particularly for the third harmonic. In the new XV-1t version, the armature has been completely redesigned; it has a different shape, making it lighter. It is made of a special iron alloy with increased resistance to corrosion and aging. Thanks to the different shape, the way the coils are wound has also been modified; they are now made of ultra-thin wire with a diameter of just 16 microns. Particular attention was paid to stabilizing the magnetic circuit, which has improved linearity within the air gap. The body, made of bamboo that has undergone special heat treatment and coated with Urushi lacquer—a traditional Japanese lacquer—also has a significant impact on the final sound.The needle features a Pathfinder Line Contact cut with a cross-section of 0.30 x 0.07 mm and is attached to a boron support rod that is 6 mm long and 0.3 mm in diameter. To improve comfort and safety, the cartridge is equipped with a protective cap for the needle.
