Basus

Basus is a versatile bass module with an amplifier and an active crossover, allowing you to configure your entire speaker system any way you like. The anodized aluminum enclosure, combined with a specially designed base, creates a perfectly matched foundation for the Lyra. The minimalist design complements each other perfectly, and the whole unit forms a visually monolithic unit. The Basus-Lyra-Teres combination forms a perfectly harmonized active system with unmatched synergy. Initially, the project was intended to create a bass section for the Lyra monitors, but in the end, the decision was made to ensure full compatibility with other speakers as well. The quality of the low frequencies is such that it doesn’t feel like we’re using a subwoofer and a monitor; rather, it feels like we’re dealing with a perfectly tuned speaker capable of conveying even the slightest nuance across the entire acoustic spectrum.
The enclosure features a sealed design. It houses a 15-inch woofer with a rigidly suspended cellulose cone, an active crossover operating in the analog domain, and a 1,000-watt amplifier powering the woofer. The signal is routed directly from the preamplifier to the modules, where it is “filtered” by the crossover, then returns to the power amplifiers and on to the midrange-tweeter section.
