The 20X2A series of cartridges features a body made of a hard aluminum alloy, such as that used in the XX2A models Te Kaitora Rua. It provides a rigid foundation for the moving part, ensuring an optimal fit and a secure attachment to the tonearm headshell. The mount is made of a 6 mm-long hard aluminum tube, at the end of which a Micro Ridge-cut diamond stylus is mounted. The magnetic circuit, which forms the core of the MC cartridge, uses pure iron, which has stable magnetic properties with minimal distortion.Furthermore, by performing a specialized annealing process that focuses on optimizing the magnetic annealing process—including annealing temperature, environment, heating time, and heating/cooling rates—we have succeeded in delivering a rich, resonant sound free of distortion and with unmatched resolution.This series uses patented softened magnets designed to reduce distortion and harsh, irritating sounds caused by rare-earth magnets, while still delivering high performance thanks to powerful neodymium magnets. Thanks to their strength, the cartridge achieves an output level of 2.8 mV. The output level is also influenced by a coil wound with wire of increasing diameter, ensuring that its internal impedance does not exceed 150 Ω in the high-output version. The low-output version features a coil with an internal impedance of 5 Ω and a voltage of 0.3 mV.
