SPARTACUS

Fully tube-based, monaural power amplifiers with no negative feedback on a directly heated triode. The uncompromising design utilizes the best solutions and components. Tamura transformers, low-noise resistors, hand-selected capacitors, and the finest tubes available. Components are selected with the utmost precision to ensure perfectly balanced operation. The circuit employs tubes in all sections. Two 6D22S diodes are used as the rectifier; the reference voltage source is an SG13P tube, and the shunt is a G-811. The PX-25 triode serves as the first amplification stage, while a pair of 520B V3 triodes connected in parallel provides the final amplification. A microprocessor is used to ensure optimal operation of this circuit. It not only monitors the device’s operation, guaranteeing its safe functioning—even shutting it down when necessary. Another equally important function is to power up each component in the correct order. The impressive chassis is made of thick, milled 6061T651 aluminum sheets. Mounted on its top panel are the tubes, as well as the output and interstage transformers, both manufactured by Tamura. Between the tubes and transformers are two switches used to adjust the impedance of the connected speakers and the gain at which the amplifier operates.Inside, there is a powerful power transformer and a choke. Both of these heavy components are shielded and, in a sense, suspended, which has positively affected the mechanical properties of the enclosure and further reduced electromagnetic interference. The rear panel features a full set of inputs and outputs. The speaker terminals are from Furutech’s top-of-the-line FT-818R series. Using a backlit switch, you select the input to which you’ll connect the signal from the preamplifier.
