Thrax Audio’s engineering designs are intended to uncompromisingly combine the highest-quality materials with innovative technical thinking. teres represents another step toward creating devices that embody this idea.
Teres are hybrid monophonic power amplifiers. The input stage uses a C3g tube in triode mode. The two-stage design employs cascode circuits combining JFET and MOSFET transistors.
The circuit architecture is fully symmetrical. Although the amplifiers output only a few watts in Class A, the amount of heat generated is significant. Therefore, to effectively dissipate the accumulated energy, the entire enclosure serves as a heat sink. It is made of anodized aluminum, and the panels are nearly 30 mm thick before being shaped into their final form. Once assembled with the internal partitions, they form an exceptionally rigid and compact structure. Its sturdy and well-designed construction ensures vibration absorption and keeps the individual components separate from one another.
