While the Blue Dragom cartridge relied
primarily on ultra-duralumin and its rigidity to dampen
undesirable resonances, this resulted in an increase in the cartridge’s weight. In
the Red Sparrow design, “lightweight” materials
such as titanium, “dry carbon,” and high-performance resins
classified as “superplastic plastics” were used.

As a result, the weight of the cartridge was reduced to just under 9g, which made it possible to
optimize its performance regardless of the tonearm used. Thanks to
this, the Red Sparrow achieves exceptional consistency combined with
an excellent soundstage.
